Now Issues to take care off

Govt. Engineers has to understand their responsibilities with open eyes. Most of the field Engineers are doing duties and responsibilities of other departments than their own. In addition to RtI WRD Engineers has new challenge due to formation of new platform for public by way of MWRRA. The various agencies like NGOs, and social workers working in the water issues want the WRD officials to be held more responsible to handle critical issues like wastage of water, pollution of water, theft of irrigation water, quality of distribution network. WRD engineers will be taken as responsible for these thing if mis tuned.

So as a senior officers we have to train and guide our juniors to make them able to tackle such challenges. For this WRD officers should be trained to educate and to do capacity building of the beneficiaries by way of their active participation in the services. So that the vigilance and cross checks can be established in all process of construction as well as management of it.

Report of 1st conference.

On 29th Jan 2010 about 23 Se were present. Chairman- Avinash Surve.

Felicitation of Surve for selection as Vice president of IEI

1. Comments about Adm Approvel circular were discussed.

2. Sixth pay commission-benefits discussed. 3 member committe formed for followup action. Er Avinash Surve, T N Munde, R K Niturkar. ( Er Tamsekar and B B patil will guide them)

3. 20% posts--selection grade. Seniority list 1991 sent to GAD. Follow up is necessary for which Abnave, Surushe, R D Shinde and K M Shah will jointly take frequent actions and visits to concerned persons in Mantralaya.

4. Web group or blog will be opened by C N Hangekar

5. Monitoring of funds at circle level--discussions were held.

6. SUPRAMA circular.. comments may be sent to Govt by every body.

7. We will meet after every 2-3 months.

8. Next seminar will be MS-Projects which is beneficial for monitoring the contracts and projects.
